Dr. Michael N. Thompson obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College (now Life University) near Atlanta, GA. in 1987. During his studies, he was chosen to be mentored by Dr. J.K. Humber, Sr., of the Humber Clinic of Chiropractic Orthospinology. Dr. "J.K." was a pioneer and instructor for the Society of Chiropractic Orthospinology (SCO).
For four years, Dr. Thompson became aggressively involved in learning the science of Upper Cervical Chiropractic and the correction of the Vertebral Subluxation Complex (VSC). Upon graduation in 1987, he remained at the Humber Clinic as an Associate Doctor for one year and became Certified at the Advanced Level by the SCO. www.Orthospinology.org <http://www.Orthospinology.org>
In 1988, Dr. Thompson relocated to Dallas, TX. to continue his career in Upper Cervical Chiropractic, where he began his private practice. Throughout his 20 years of service, he has owned and operated clinics in Dallas, Arlington, Grand Prairie and Ft. Worth.
In 2002, 'Dr. Mike' began to write on the subject of health and wellness and finished a book in that same year. Since then, he has coached over 1000 people on Upper Cervical Chiropractic, Wellness and Nutrition along with sharing the truth about the failing health care system in North America today.
Early in 2005, Dr. Thompson began service at the well known Pruitt Chiropractic Clinic (Established in 1949) for the late Dr. Mary Ann Pruitt, a dedicated upper cervical practitioner utilizing the Blair Specific Technique for 56 years. After beginning service at The Pruitt Clinic, Dr. Thompson began taking certification classes in the Blair Technique at Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, IA. where he completed the Initial, Intermediate and Advanced level studies.
In early 2007, he joined Upper Cervical Health Centers of America (UCHCA). The decision to become part of UCHCA rests on his personal mission to help sick people get well through specific upper cervical chiropractic. Dr. Thompson believes that no matter what science labels a condition, the body has an in-born ability to heal itself, and if given the opportunity through the removal of nerve interference, restored health can be the natural result. Dr. Thompson has witnessed countless miracles through Upper Cervical care.
His mission statement and practice revolves around helping those suffering individuals whereby ordinary medical care or other forms of chiropractic have proven ineffective. Dr. Thompson is a native Texan and resides in Arlington, TX. He is a Christian and considers himself a very blessed father of two children, ages 10 and 20.
